Son of Justiniano Da Silva and Leonor Candida Ornellas. .

Born in 1853, the twenty-second year of the reign of Imperador Pedro II.  He has 1 direct descendant in the family.

The hairdresser


Sao Paulo Theatre

The hairdresser João Batista, mentioned by the chronicler Figueiredo Pimentel in his then famous column O Binóculo, wrote his name in Portuguese but he was actually French and signed his name as Jean Baptista.
He combed, made up and cared for the hair of artists taking part in memorable spectacles in the São Paulo de Alcântara Theatre (now known as João Caetano) surviving three fires and innumerable crises.
